Saoirse Ronan attended the premiere of her new film, Paper Plane, earlier today, September 10, in Venice. The actress is making her directorial debut with this short film at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival.

In this new short film, “When a defiant young girl stages a silent protest, refusing to return home until the disruptive presence of her father is gone, her mother must decide whether to follow her or let her go.” The short film stars Martha Malone, Clare Dunne, and Tim Creed.
