SDCC 2026: Hulu Animayhem: Fandom Fuel Up Needs A Bit More Fuel For SDCC

Hulu once again brought back their Hulu offsite, which focuses on their amazing lineup of animated series. However, unlike past years, this year’s San Diego Comic Con creation, titled, “Hulu Animayhem: Fandom Fuel Up”, was a bit too pint size.

Located at Palm Trees Garden in the Gaslamp Quarter, guests are thrown into the wild worlds of Futurama and King of the Hill as soon as they enter the experience. Guests are greeted with a choice between two hats, one inspired by Futurama, and the other by King of the Hill, before getting the opportunity to take some fun photos. From there, the guests can enjoy a quick bite or drink from two food vendors, along numerous other  photo stops along the way.

“Hulu Animayhem: Fandom Fuel Up” is small compared to its past offsite iterations. There isn’t quite as much to do, and the space feels cramped. This made it quite hard to navigate the space, but as BB walked by the offsite throughout the past few days, it looked like staff was doing a great job of keeping the group sizes small to help with the overcrowdings. Though it does beg the question as to why Hulu opted to move their offsite space from behind the Convention Center to  Palm Trees Garden. Their previous space was a good size piece of property that allowed for ample activities. So to go an downsize what of the more anticipated offsites left many with questions on their mind.

With only one day left of the convention, this one might be a skip if you aren’t dying to get inside. There our other offsites in the area that are better worth the time, but if you live and breathe Futurama and King of the Hill, get in there and check it out from 11am to 4pm.
