High School is a Cruel Place in First Teaser for Prime Video’s ‘Carrie’
The first teaser trailer for Prime Video’s new series, Carrie has been released. Based on the iconic novel by Stephen King, the trailer was unveiled during the show’s panel at San Diego Comic Con earlier today, July 25.
In the series, “Misfit high‑schooler Carrie White (Summer H. Howell) has spent her life hidden away inside the walls of her home with her fiercely protective mother, Margaret (Samantha Sloyan). After her father’s sudden, untimely death thrusts her into the unforgiving ecosystem of public high school, Carrie is forced to navigate a viral bullying scandal that tears through her community, the relentless pressure and casual cruelty of the social‑media age, and the awakening of mysterious telekinetic powers that rise alongside her adolescence.”
Carrie stars Summer H. Howell as Carrie White, Samantha Sloyan as Margaret White, Siena Agudong as Sue Snell, Alison Thornton as Chris Hargensen, Joel Oulette as Tommy Ross, Josie Totah as Tina, Arthur Conti as Billy, Thalia Dudek as Emaline, Amber Midthunder as Miss Desjardin, and Matthew Lillard as Principal Grayle.
All eight episodes of the hotly anticipated new Original series, Carrie, will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on October 7, in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
