‘Lanterns’ Makes First Appearance at SDCC & Unveils First Trailer

The official trailer for HBO Max’s Lanterns has been released. The trailer was unveiled during the show’s panel at San Diego Comic Con today, July 24.

Kyle Chandler, Aaron Pierre, Garret Dillahunt, Poorna Jagannathan, and co-creators Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof, and Tom King were on hand at Hall H to reveal the new trailer and talk about what’s to come on the series. Joining them, a little late, was fellow Lantern, Nathan Fillon. Fillon, Pierce, and Chandler make up our “Green Lanterns” as Guy Gardner, Jon Stewart, and Hal Jordan.

The series follows new recruit John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) and Lantern legend Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler), two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery with cosmic ties as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.

Please oh please don’t let this be a let down. I have been waiting years for Jon Stewart’s story to be told!
