REVIEWS: HBO Max Delivers With Stuart Fails To Save the Universe “The Comic Center of Pasadena” Offsite
HBO Max teased their newest series, STUART FAILS TO SAVE THE UNIVERSE, with an offsite at San Diego Comic Con. A spinoff to the beloved The Big Bang Theory, this new creation from the streaming site focuses on Stuart (Kevin Sussman) and his journey to restore the universe after destroying it.
This offsite, aptly named, STUART FAILS TO SAVE THE UNIVERSE – “Comic Center of Pasadena” brings fans into Stuart’s comic book shop, Comic Center of Pasadena”. It’s here where guests learn that a devise has opened an interdimensional portal and Stuart needs them to help save the Universe. From there, guests are provided a membership card, which will grant them three chances to save the Universe.
After acquiring the card, guests walk through the portal, where there are a variety of different stations that they can check out. Each station requires guests to tap an a screen with their card, and follow the prompts to help save the universe. There are numerous stations throughout this sections of the offsite, so there should be little to no waiting involved.
Spoiler alert for BB, we indeed failed all three times at saving the universe. We also didn’t see anyone actual save the universe either, which we believe might just be the point of the offsite. Either way, after guests failed or succussed, they are granted access to the device, which will transport them back to reality. Here guests are provided with a variety of different merchandise, exclusive to the offsite.
The amount of detail that went into this offsite deserves an applause. No matter where the eyes ventured, there was nerd details galore and little easter eggs devoted to world of The Big Bang Theory. The different stations located throughout the offsite also made the experience seamless and enjoyable. There was little to no waiting once inside the offsite, which bodes well for those waiting in line.
If you are in town for whatever the reason may be, and you have the time, I would recommend checking out this offsite. It has a little bit of everything for everyone, and a great way to cool off after dealing with this San Diego heat. You can check out the hours for the offite below.
