Johnny Depp Invades San Diego Comic Con with Surprise Trailer Reveal for ‘Ebenezer’

Johnny Depp made a surprise appearance at San Diego Comic Con today, July 24. The actor appeared at the Ebenezer offsite dressed as his character from Paramount Pictures new movie, Ebenezer.

The offsite was a surprise to many as it was not a previously announced event taking place during the Con. Fans saw it being built over the last few days, but today was the first day where the sign “Scrooge and Marley” appeared outside the venue. Rumors then began swirling that Depp would be making an appearance, and after hours of waiting he appeared.

However, that was not the last fans would see of the actor. He then appeared in Hall H during Collider’s Directors on Directing where he unveiled the first trailer for the movie.

“This November, Johnny Depp is Ebenezer Scrooge. The name you know, the story you don’t. From Ti West, EBENEZER also stars Rupert Grint, Andrea Riseborough, Sam Claflin, Daisy Ridley, Arthur Conti, Ellie Bamber, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Charlie Murphy, with Tramell Tillman and Ian McKellen.”

The movie will hit theaters on November 13! What a fun way to celebrate the movie and a great surprise for Comic Con fans!
