2012 has been a pretty insane year for drama with several of our fave actor and musicians getting caught up in the hubbub. It took a lot of reflection but we finally settled on our Top 5 Jawdropping Moments of 2012!

Easily the biggest scandal of the year was Kristen Stewart cheating on her longtime boyfriend, Robert Pattinson with Rupert Sanders, her director from Snow White and the Huntsman. Did we mention he was also married with children? The pair was caught in a pretty intimate situation leading Kristen to publicly ask Rob for forgiveness. It looks like he has as the pair is back together but the shock of seeing Kristen with Rupert (after she and Rob so carefully protected their relationship for years) was our most shocking moment.

Miley Cyrus made our jaws drop twice this year! Once in May when she and longtime beau Liam Hemsworth became engaged and again later in the year when the singer chopped off her hair. Miley, who says she is the happiest she’s ever been, fully embraced her new do and her new role as the future Mrs. Hemsworth. Miley has been forging her own path for years and our jaws dropped (in a good way) when she continued to just do her own thing in regards to her love life and her appearance!

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez’s on-again/off-again relationship made our jaws drop this Fall when the couple took their tumultuous issues public. Selena struck first, posting a photo of Justin hanging out with a model to her Twitter account and it quickly snowballed from there. Everyone from Selena’s family to mutual friends made their opinions on the couple and the break up known. Only in typical young love fashion and before the dust could settle on their break up, Justin and Selena were already back together. The pair most recently enjoyed a romantic vacation in Utah.

Pretty Little Liars has long been one of our favorite shows and the entire cast and crew kicked it up a notch in the Summer of 2012 by finally revealing who “A” is- sorta! Spoiler Alert: there isn’t just one “A” but a team of them and the team is headed up by none other than Spencer’s (Troian Bellisario) boyfriend, Toby (Keegan Allen). To say we, and PLL‘s legion of fans, were surprised is an understatement. Toby being revealed as a secret spy and member of the “A” team is definitely a jaw-dropping moment from 2012.

Our final jaw-dropping moment of 2012 is Taylor Swift dating Harry Styles. The adorable couple was rumored to have paired up in March but that was quickly squashed when Harry was spotted with another girl while in Australia. Fast forward through the Summer of 2012 when Taylor became a pseudo-Kennedy to September when Harry and Taylor met up again after MTV’s Video Music Awards. Even though Taylor was still with Conor Kennedy, sparks definitely flew. The couple didn’t officially take their relationship public until December but they began quietly dating in the beginning of October, keeping it successfully hidden as the majority of the world thought Taylor and Conor were still together! However, the secret was soon out when Taylor’s team revealed at the end of October that she and Conor had split and around a week later Taylor was seen rocking Harry’s necklace! Definitely a jaw-dropping moment when two of our faves get together!
