Stephanie Hsu Attends International Premiere of ‘In Waves’ at TIFF

Stephanie Hsu attended the International Premiere of her new animated movie, In Waves at the Toronto International Film Festival today, September 14. Hsu was joined at the premiere by director Phuong Mai Nguyen; Will Sharpe; producers Priscilla Bertin and Nick Shumaker; Chairman of Netflix Film Dan Lin; Head of Netflix Animation Studios Hannah Minghella; and Senior Vice President of Content and Production for Netflix Animation Studios, Cara Speller.

Based on the graphic novel by AJ Dungo, “Set against the sun-soaked surf culture of Southern California, IN WAVES, based on a true story, explores the joy of finding your soulmate, the courage it takes to live life to the fullest, and the enduring power of love to shape who we become and what we leave behind.”

The movie will be released in select theaters on November 27, 2026, and begins streaming on Netflix on December 11, 2026.
