Dakota Fanning has landed a new role! The actress will star in TNT’s The Alienist based on the novel by Caleb Carr.

Dakota will play a “headstrong secretary at Police Headquarters” who will “investigate a series of brutal murders in New York during the Gilded Age.”

Luke Evans and Daniel Brühl will also star. The series will film in Budapest this year and is expected to release later this year.
