Anna Kendrick’s ‘Embassy’ Lands at MGM+

Anna Kendrick’s new series has found a home here in the United States. MGM+ will be the home of Kendrick’s new series, Embassy.

Embassy stars Kendrick as Layla a sharp and resourceful American diplomat, who faces an impossible choice: protect the U.S. Ambassador or follow his orders to exfiltrate a high value asset being held at the embassy after armed mercenaries storm the U.S. Embassy in London. As a larger conspiracy unfolds, Layla must rely on her instincts—and the reluctant help of her ex-fiancé, a British SAS soldier—in the tense hours before extraction.

JK Simmons is set to play the U.S. Ambassador and Sam Heughan will play Layla’s ex-fiancé. No word on when it will be released, but we are hoping it will be towards the end of 2026/beginning of 2027.
