Sydney Sweeney to Star in Re-Imagining of ‘The Legend of Sleepy Hollow’

Sydney Sweeney has landed a new role. The actress is set to star and produce the adaptation of Lindsey Anderson Beer’s debut novel, Hollow.

A re-imagining of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Beer sold the novel to Putnam, which plans to release the novel in the Fall of 2027.

Sweeney will play Katrina Van Tassel, Ichabod Crane’s love interest in the original lore. In the movie, which will be directed by Beer, Van Tassel takes the lead in the supernatural love triangle and the story will be told from her point of view.

I don’t always love when adaptations are fast tracked like this, but I definitely can’t wait to read the book! I wonder if the movie when be timed to come out right around the release of the book.
