Milly Alcock Covers ‘Vogue Australia’

Milly Alcock is on the cover of Vogue Australia. The actress is on the cover of the magazine’s June issue.
In the issue, Alcock talks playing Supergirl, working with Director Craig Gillespie, her family, her Sirens costar, Meghann Fahy, how her life will change after Supergirl comes out and so much more. Highlights can be found below.
On playing Supergirl: “It’s weird and wonderful and terrifying, because it’s a character the audience already owns, in a certain sense. There is a sense of wanting to please everyone, in a way. The biggest heartwarming experience has been seeing little girls in Supergirl outfits and stuff like that, because it’s such a treat to give back to a younger audience. It kind of swells your heart a bit.”
On her family: “They’re great and incredibly proud. My mother’s a nanny. She was a single mum and raised the three of us. My two younger brothers don’t work in the arts, so there is that sense of otherness in the work, but in terms of who I am and the way they treat me, I’m still Milly. We’re all very close in age; they’re also growing and changing as am I, and my mother is dealing with having an empty nest, but she has a wonderful partner now. I guess we’re all in this growing-pains period together.”
On her Sirens costar, Meghann Fahy: “Meg and I text each other every now and again, just checking in and seeing if we can see each other because we both don’t have sisters. There was something really nice about getting to play having a sister.”
