Mason Thames Holds His Fire Sword in First Look at ‘How to Train Your Dragon 2’
Filming has wrapped on How to Train Your Dragon 2. Director Dean DeBlois shared the first photo and announced the news via his Instagram today, May 14.
The photo features Mason Thames holding, what we hope to be, Hiccup’s fire sword. Called, “Inferno”, the sword was first introduced in the How to Train Your Dragon 2 animated movie, so it would make sense for it to appear in the live-action version.
The new movie will hit theaters in June of 2027! I hate that we have to wait until next year to see the movie!
