Matt Reeves Announces Cast for ‘The Batman II’

Matt Reeves made The Batman fans very happy today, May 14. The director took to X to announce the official cast for the second movie in the series, The Batman II.

Robert Pattinson will be returning as the Caped Crusader and will be joined by an all-star cast including Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson, Bryan Tyree Henry, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell.

• Sebastian Stan as Harvey Dent
• Scarlett Johansson rumored to be playing Gilda Dent
• Charles Dance as Christopher Dent
• Sebastian Koch as TBA
• Brian Tyree Henry as TBA
• Andy Serkis as Alfred
• Colin Farrell as The Penguin
• Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon
• Jayme Lawson as Gotham City Mayor Bella Reál
• Gil Perez-Abraham as Officer Martinez

It seems like this movie may be taking a Batman: The Long Halloween approach. If they are, Johansson’s Gilda will also be Holiday, which would be a fun route for her. However, who are Koch and Henry playing? Could Henry be playing Solomon Grundy? He plays a part in the comic, though not sure if Reeves wants to go that deep with villains for this movie.
