Tom Holland Partners With Vuori & Chats With GQ
Tom Holland sat down recently with GQ. The actor spoke with the magazine to promote his partnership with Vuori. Highlights from her interview are below.
On his shoot with Vuori: “It was awesome, really. Portugal is a place that my friends and I frequent all the time. We probably go there, I don’t know, two, three times a year to play golf. So to be able to turn something that is very personal to me into a campaign, I thought was a really cool opportunity. And then to have my brother direct it was really fun because I feel like my experience in Portugal, the Portuguese culture—playing golf there, the food there—is so much a part of my family story. I really love the idea of sharing that with Harry. And then obviously, I couldn’t bring Harry out to Portugal without bringing [his other brothers] Sam and Paddy. So it was nice that Vuori was so game to make it a family [trip] up there.”
On whether Matt Damon offered him any advice while onset of The Odyssey: “I mean, we spent so much time together, and what I’m really grateful for with Matt is that he is exactly what I would have hoped he would be like. He was a leader. This was a very tough movie and no one worked harder than Matt did. And he always came to set with a smile on his face and he was gracious and he was so kind to the crew. And I think he really set the tone for everyone as to how we were going to collectively make this film. So there are words of wisdom that he’s given me that I’ll keep to myself, but there’s a lot that I learned from him from just being a spectator on set and watching the legend that is Matt Damon work.”
