Take Your First Look at Netflix’s ‘Little House on the Prairie’

The first look at Netflix’s reboot of Little House on the Prairie has been released. Based on Laura Ingalls Wilder’s iconic book series, along with the first look came the announcement the show had been renewed for a second season.

Set to premiere its first season on July 9, “Part hopeful family drama, part epic survival tale, and part origin story of the American West, this fresh adaptation of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s iconic semi-autobiographical Little House books offers a kaleidoscopic view of the struggles and triumphs of those who shaped the frontier”

Anchoring the series are Alice Halsey as the strong-willed Laura Ingalls, the young hero of the novels; Skywalker Hughes as Laura’s older sister, Mary; Luke Bracey as Pa (aka Laura’s father, Charles Ingalls); and Crosby Fitzgerald as Ma (aka Laura’s mother, Caroline Ingalls).
