Sydney Sweeney to Star in & Produce ‘Custom of the Country’

Sydney Sweeney has landed a new role! The actress is set to star in the film adaptation of Edith Wharton’s Custom of the Country.

Directed by Josie Rourke, per the logline, Undine Spragg (Sydney Sweeney) is “a fiercely ambitious woman from the Midwest who strives for the social heights of turn-of-the-century New York,” per the logline. “Armed with beauty, daring/hustle and sheer force of will/unwavering ambition, she battles an entrenched elite, fearlessly courting controversy, until love and fortune align.”
