Will Poulter’s ‘Beat the Reaper’ Heads to AppleTV+
AppleTV+ has picked up Will Poulter’s new series, Beat the Reaper. Poulter will also act as an executive producer on the dramedy, while Sam Catlin will also serve as executive producer, and showrunner.
Based on the novel of the same name by Josh Bazell, Beat the Reaper will star Poulter as ‘Dr. Peter Brown,’ an intern at Boston’s worst hospital, with a talent for medicine, a shift from hell, and a past he’d prefer to keep hidden. But when a patient recognizes him from his dangerous past, Brown has eight hours to elude the government, mob hitmen, quack surgeons, and a trail of dead gangers to somehow beat the reaper.
Production on the dramedy will begin in 2026. I think I have a new book to add to my must read list!
