Netflix Announces Premiere Date for New President James Garfield Series, ‘Death by Lightning’

Netflix has announced the release date for it’s new limited series, Death By Lightning. Based on true events, the 4-episode series will premiere on November 6.

“Death by Lightning is a drama series that brings to life the epic and stranger-than-fiction true story of James Garfield, reluctant 20th president of the United States, and his greatest admirer Charles Guiteau — the man who would come to kill him.

Michael Shannon is set to star as President James Garfield, Matthew MacFadyen as Charles Giteau, Nick Offerman as Chester Arthur, Bradley Whitford as James Blaine, Shea Whigham as Roscoe Conkling, and Betty Gilpin as Crete Garfield.
