REVIEW: Peacock Celebrates ‘Twisted Metal’ with “Twisted Metal Bumper Battle” Activation at SDCC

Peacock celebrated Twisted Metal’s upcoming second season with the offsite activation, “Twisted Metal Bumper Battle”, at San Diego Comic-Con today, July 24. We got the chance to check out the activation and though it featured bumper cars, it may not be worth standing in the sun for.

Set to look like a post-apocalyptic world, just like the show, fans enter the activation to a lot of space and little to do. The major highlight of the activation is the bumper cars, which pay tribute to the Twisted Metal tournament featured in Season 2.  However, besides the bumper cars, that is really all the activation has to offer.

Sure, they had a couple photo ops and a display of the tournament cars featured throughout the new season, but there wasn’t enough to warrant standing in line for a significant amount of time. You can’t get in the cars and the lines may end up having you wait way too long for little payout. Maybe if you have a little downtime, and the entrance line is small, it is worth taking a peek. But, if the line is long, don’t bother waiting.
