AppleTV+ to Adapt Jennette McCurdy’s “I’m Glad My Mom Died” with Jennifer Aniston

AppleTV+ is moving forward with a brand new series based of Jennette McCurdy’s No. 1 New York Times bestseller memoir, I’m Glad My Mom Died. The streaming platform announced the news today, July 1, as well as one of the actresses who is set to the new dramedy, Jennifer Aniston.

I’m Glad My Mom Died is a heartbreaking and hilarious recounting of Jennette McCurdy’s struggles as a former child actor while dealing with her overbearing, domineering mother. The dramedy will center on the the codependent relationship between an 18-year-old actress in a hit kid’s show, and her narcissistic mother who relishes in her identity as “a starlet’s mother,” set to be played by Aniston.”

The series will be executive produced and showrun by McCurdy and Ari Katcher, while Aniston, Sharon Horgan and Merman, LuckyChap, Jerrod Carmichael and Erica Kay will also executive produce.

Production on the series will begin later this year!
