HBO Announces More Cast Of ‘Harry Potter’ Series

HBO has announced a whole slew of new cast members for the upcoming Harry Potter television series. These actors join previously announced Dominic McLaughlin, Alastair Stout, and Arabella Stanton.
According to Deadline, “Lox Pratt is slated to play Draco Malfoy, with Johnny Flynn as his father Lucius Malfoy. In more family castings, Bel Powley is set as Petunia Dursley and Daniel Rigby as Vernon Dursley, Harry’s aunt and uncle. Additionally, Katherine Parkinson will play Ron’s mom, Molly Weasley. Cast as Hogwarts students are Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan, Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, and Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown” The site also noted that Bertie Carvelhas been tapped to play Cornelius Fudge.
Filming is set to get underway later this Summer at Leavesden Studios.
Interesting to see a casting for Lucius and Fudge this early, but I guess they will play a part in this adaptation of the first book.
