Mckenna Grace Heads to NYC to Celebrate ‘Ghostbusters’ Day 2025

Mckenna Grace headed to New York City for Ghostbusters 2025 Day yesterday, June 7! Joined by her Ghostbusters costar, Carrie Coon, and director, Jason Reitman, the trio visited New York’s Iconic Hook & Ladder 8 to celebrate the day.

During the event, Reitman announced the launch of the Ghostbusters Give Back initiative. “As the beloved franchise marks more than 40 years of inspiring fans around the world, Ghostbusters Day 2025 honors the global community that has turned fandom into meaningful impact.

Throughout the upcoming year, Ghostbusters fan groups across the country are encouraged to participate in a friendly fundraising competition—tracking their efforts to see which local teams can raise the most for their local causes. To further support this initiative, Sony Pictures will match contributions up to $150,000, which will be donated to the Starlight Children’s Foundation with a goal to create more than 6,000 Ghostbusters-themed gowns to bring joy to kids in hospitals. This marks a significant step in the franchise’s ongoing commitment to making a positive impact. It also highlights the extraordinary ways Ghostbusters fans have embraced the heart of the franchise—not just in costume, but in action.”
