AppleTV+ Releases First Teaser for Jason Momoa’s ‘Chief of War’

AppleTV+ has released the first teaser for its new series, Chief of War. The nine-episode series is set amidst the beautiful backdrop of the islands of Hawai‘i, and it stars Jason Mamoa as warrior Ka’iana.

Based on true events, the show follows warrior Ka’iana as he tries to unify the islands before Western colonization in the late 18th century. Chief of War will make its global debut on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes on Friday, August 1, 2025 followed by new episodes every Friday through September 19.
