Maya Hawke Lands Lead In Lucia Joyce Biopic

Maya Hawke has landed a new role! The young actress is set oto star alongside Rhys Ifans in the upcoming Lucia Joyce biopic.

Set to be directed by Aisling Walsh, “The biopic is based on the life of Lucia Joyce, the talented but troubled daughter of James Joyce, who was briefly the lover of Samuel Beckett.”

According to Deadline, “The feature follows Lucia as she struggles to fulfil her personal ambition to become a professional dancer, while navigating her complex relationship with her father as his muse and confidant.”

Maya will be playing the role of Lucia in the film while Ifans will play her father, James Joyce.
