Sadie Sink Lands First Tony Nomination

Sadie Sink can call herself a Tony nominee! The young actress was announced as one of this year’s nominees earlier this morning, May 1.
Sadie earned a nomination for “Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play” for her work in the Broadway play, John Proctor Is the Villain. In this show, “At a high school in a one-stoplight town in Georgia, an English class is studying The Crucible. The students, however, are more preoccupied with navigating young love, sex ed, and a few school scandals than what’s in their syllabus. But as they delve into this literary classic, the class begins to question the play’s perspective, especially whether John Proctor is the hero they’ve been taught he is.”
The Tony Awards will be held at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 8, and air on CBS.
