Lionsgate Reveals First Cast Members For The Hunger Games: Sunrise On The Reaping
Haymitch Abernathy and Lenore Dove Baird have been cast! Lionsgate has announced that Joseph Zada and Whitney Peak will lead the upcoming film adaptation of The Hunger Games: Sunrise On The Reaping.
According to Deadline, “Joseph Zada for the role of Haymitch Abernathy, Tribute from District 12, with Whitney Peak to play Haymitch’s girlfriend, Lenore Dove Baird.”
Based on the recently released book by Suzanne Collins, “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping will revisit the world of Panem twenty-four years before the events of The Hunger Games, starting on the morning of the reaping of the Fiftieth Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell.” Fans of the series will notice the significance of this date since this is when Katniss mentor from District 12, Haymitch Abernathy, entered the Games and won.
The Hunger Games: Sunrise On The Reaping will be on November 20, 2026.
