Stars Attend Day 1 of Star Wars Celebration 2025

Lucasfilms kicked off Day 1 of Star Wars Celebration 2025 today, April 18 in Tokyo, Japan. The first day featured a number of announcements and appearances from some of our favorite Star Wars stars.

Director Shawn Levy and star Ryan Gosling, hit the stage to announce their new movie, Star Wars: Starfighter, which will hit theaters on May 28, 2027. Director/co-writer Jon Favreau also took the stage to discuss Lucasfilm’s highly anticipated theatrical release The Mandalorian and Grogu. Set to hit theaters May 22, 2026, Pedro Pascal, Sigourney Weaver, and Grogu joined Faverau onstage for the presentation.

Other notable appearances during Day 1 included Lucasfilm’s president Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, Tony Gilroy, Diego Luna, Rosario Dawson, Hayden Christensen, and the iconic Stormtroopers.
