Return To Panem With The Title Treatment For The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping

Lionsgate has released the title treatment from the next installment in The Hunger Games franchise, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. Revealed at the CinemaCon presentation in Las Vegas this morning, April 1, Lionsgate also announced that the film would go into production this Smmer.

Based on the recently released book by Suzanne Collins, “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping will revisit the world of Panem twenty-four years before the events of The Hunger Games, starting on the morning of the reaping of the Fiftieth Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell.” Fans of the series will notice the significance of this date since this is when Katniss mentor from District 12, Haymitch Abernathy, entered the Games and won.

The film version will be on November 20, 2026.
