On Toni Collette’s performance in The Sixth Sense inspiring her to act: “She just seemed like a real person to me. The movie was so scary, but I think I was so focused on the emotion that she gives in that story, I’ll never forget.”
On her mother’s passing: “It’s just a hole in my life now. What she brought to my life was so much excitement and so much support, which I’m so grateful for. But now that’s missing from my life. I don’t get to share my career with her anymore. And I’m now realising that was such a big part of why I wanted to do it. And I have to find a way to push through that and still find meaning in it because I still love it so much. I’ve loved playing different people since I was nine years old, putting on plays for my parents, and I think that, moving forward, it’s going to constantly evolve.”
