Stars Perform During SNL50: The Anniversary Special
Saturday Night Live held their 50th Anniversary special last night, February 16. Live from Studio 8H in New York City, some of our favorite stars took the stage to celebrate the momentous occasion with former and current cast members.
Sabrina Carpenter opened the show with a performance of “Homeward Bound”, alongside Paul Simon before joining the cast of a “Domingo: Vow Renewal” sketch. Emma Stone hit the stage to pay homage to all of the physical comedy seen throughout the fifty years, where she received a little help from former SNL cast member, Molly Shannon.
Miley Cyrus hit the stage with musician, Brittany Howard, to perform a beautiful cover of Sinéad O’Connor’s “Nothing Compares 2 U”. Nick Jonas also took the stage to perform alongside a variety of different cast members for the sketch, “New York 50th Musical”. Finally, Ayo Edebiri joined Jimmy Fallon, Drew Barrymore, and Robert De Niro for the iconic Debbie Downer (Rachel Dratch) sketch.
