Lionsgate Announces Film Adaptation Of New Hunger Games Book, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping

Rejoice fans of The Hunger Games! Coming off the news from author, Suzanne Collins, of a new book in the beloved series, Liosngate has announced a film adaptation of that new film, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.

“The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping will revisit the world of Panem twenty-four years before the events of The Hunger Games, starting on the morning of the reaping of the Fiftieth Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell.” Fans of the series will notice the significance of this date since this is when Katniss mentor from District 12, Haymitch Abernathy, entered the Games and won.

Fans will get a chance to find out what in store with this new book when it is released on March 18, 2025. The film version will then be released on November 20, 2026.
