Julia Garner Joins Cast of ‘The Fantastic Four’

Julia Garner is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe! The actress is set to join the cast of The Fantastic Four as the Shalla-Bal, a version of the Silver Surfer.

Garner joins the already cast Pedro Pascal, who is set to play Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (the Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (the Human Torch) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (the Thing). Production on the movie will begin this Summer.

I’ve got a lot of questions regarding the choice of comic character, but I love the casting of Garner! Here’s hoping we don’t have to wait until July 2025 to get more answers regarding how the character will play into the story.
