James Gunn and Peter Safran Find Their Supergirl in Milly Alcock

Milly Alcock is the DC Universe’s new Supergirl! Deadline is reporting, Alcock “has landed the highly coveted role of Supergirl in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s new DC Universe.”

No word on when the star will make her first appearance in the Universe. Production on Gunn and Safran’s first DC Universe movie, Superman Legacy, begins filming in the next few weeks, but Gunn has yet to confirm if she will appear in that movie.

However, we do know that she will get her own solo pic, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. That may be the first time we meet her, but I highly doubt it. I am guessing she will make a cameo in Superman Legacy.

Alcock beat out Meg Donnelly and Emilia Jones for the role. What do you guys think of the casting? Are you excited to see Alcock take on the role?
