Review: “HULU ANIMAYHEM: ENTER THE 2ND DIMENSION” Activation Whisks Fans Away To The World Of 2D

Hulu has brought their “HULU ANIMAYHEM: ENTER THE 2ND DIMENSION” activation to San Diego Comic Con this weekend. This new immersive experience from the streaming site shrinks fans down to “2d”, where they are able to interact with some of their favorite Hulu animated series, including Bob’s Burger, The Simpsons, and Family Guy. We at BB got the chance to check out the activation earlier this morning, July 20, and it did not disappoint.

As you enter the activation, you are immediately greeted with the shrink ray that will transport you to the second dimension. From there you walk through the set of Solar Opposites for some fun photo opportunities before being greeted by some familiar faces from American Dad. After that, you enter a pretty spacious room to ask The Great North’s Judy’s imaginary friend, Alanis Morissette, some yes and no questions.

Feeling a bit hungry after all those interactions? The next stop in the activation will pick you right up. In the next area, fans can take a moment to grab a donut or two, or maybe even a Bob’s Burger, while also making time for some amazing photo opportunities. These opportunities include sitting on the iconic couches from Family Guy & The Simpsons to grabbing a seat at the diner from Bob’s Burgers. After your appetite has been satisfied, fans have one last stop to make in the activation, and it’s all about Futurama. Again, their are plenty of photo opportunities throughout this section that will be a crowd pleaser. But the fun doesn’t stop there. As you exit the activation you are given a fun little gift or two to make sure your experience was a memorable as possible.

“HULU ANIMAYHEM: ENTER THE 2ND DIMENSION” activation was absolutely stunning. From the attention to detail featured in the designs scatted throughout the activation to the amazing activities found throughout, there was always something to do. As we mentioned with our other activation reviews, crowd control will be interesting with this one, but the staff does an amazing job of keeping people moving without feeling rushed. They also take tons of photos of you, so you are guaranteed to get at least one good photo as you make your way through the activation.

The “HULU ANIMAYHEM: ENTER THE 2ND DIMENSION” is currently open to the public at the Bayfront Parking Lot throughout the next few days, so we highly suggest checking it out if you’re in town.
