The trailer for The Color Purple has been released. This new take on the beloved classic stars, Halle Bailey, Taraji P. Henson, Danielle Brooks, Colman Domingo, Corey Hawkins, H.E.R., Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, and Fantasia Barrino.

based on the novel by Alice Walker and based on the musical stage play, book (of the musical stage play) by Marsha Norman, The Color Purple follows the extraordinary sisterhood of three women who share one unbreakable bond. It will open in theaters on December 25.
