Sabrina Carpenter Covers Marie Claire Mexico & Performs at Billboard NMPA Grammy Week Songwriter Showcase

Sabrina Carpenter is on the cover of Marie Claire Mexico. The singer/actress is on the cover of the magazine’s February issue.

In the issue, Carpenter talks her musical inspirations, her 2023 plans, and so much more. Highlights can be found below.

On whether she was wary about being more vulnerable on the new album: “Yes, definitely. I think that was what excited me the most and made me nervous. I wanted the music to feel like an extension of who I am in my mind , in my daily conversations, in my heart.”

On her musical inspirations: “Oh my God. Many people! I feel so inspired by all the artists I grew up with . Madonna is important to me. I think she’s broken a lot of molds throughout her career and she’s constantly reinventing herself in so many ways. I love Rosalía , she is one of my favorite artists. I feel like she does something very similar and constantly changes the game in a really impressive way. And on the acting side, I’m a fan of so many directors, especially there are some emerging ones that I’m meeting. But, yeah, I would say those are some of my favorites.”

You can read her full interview here. In other Carpenter news, the star attended the Billboard NMPA Grammy Week Songwriter Showcase last night, February 1 in Los Angeles. The star was at the event to take the stage and perform her hit single, “Nonsense”.

What a busy week it has been for Sabrina! I hope she is finding time to relax.
