James Gunn and Peter Safran Announce “Chapter 1” for DC Studios

DC Studios Co-Chairmen and CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran announced the first 10 film and television projects to be released under their new DC banner. The duo are in the midst of implementing a long-term interconnected story for the iconic franchise and characters.

Today, January 31, the announced the details “Chapter 1” of their plan which will focuse on “Gods and Monsters” with five new films and five television series for HBO Max already in development. All new projects are consisdered to be in the same universe and will share characters and stories.

The list of projects can be found below. All actors and actresses cast in these projects will be people who are able to star on both the small screen and big screen.

The duo also announced The Batman sequel and the Joker sequel will fall under its DC Elseworlds banner. This means they exist on their own universe and are not connected to “Chapter 1”.

I am not entirely sure about a number of these titles. They are going to have to make sure they cast people who draw in an audience because if you are not a DC Comics reader, you will have no idea what is going on or why you should check these new projects out.
