Selena Gomez was honored by the Stanford School of Medicine yesterday, November 10. The star was awarded the first ever Mental Health Innovations Award “Mentee” for Excellence in Mental Health and Advocacy at Stanford’s Mental Healthcare Innovations Summit.
According to a statement, Gomez was honored because of her “contributions to mental health, particularly for her advocacy fighting shame and stigma, as well as her commitment to expanding access to resources as a social entrepreneur and digital mental health pioneer.”
