Lashana Lynch and Tessa Thompson To Appear in Marvel Studios’ The Marvels

It looks like two familiar faces may be returning for Marvel Studios’ new movie, The Marvels. Lashana Lynch and Tessa Thompson are rumored to be returning for the new movie.
The rumor began circulating after the actress who plays Kamala Khan’s mother Muneeba Khan in the movie, Zenobia Shroff, released a photo to her Instagram featuring a row of headshots apparently for the new movie. The headshots include Brie Larson, Tyonah Parris (Monica Rambeau), Iman Vellani (Kamala Khan), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Zawe Ashton (believed to be playing the villain), and Park Seo-Joon as well as Lynch’s headshot and Thompson’s headshot.
Lynch’s Maria Rambeau, mother to Parris’ Monica, was confirmed to have passed away in WandaVision. Fans believe she will return in flashbacks in the movie, but with the opening of the multiverse in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, anything is possible.
Thompson’s Valkyrie is set to next appear in Thor: Love and Thunder, and fans have been hoping to see Valkyrie alongside Larson’s Carol Danvers since she was first introduced in Thor Ragnarok. We shall see what capacity, if any, her character will play in the new movie, but I am really hoping these rumors are true.
