Taylor Swift Accepts the NMPA’s Songwriter Icon Award

Taylor Swift received the 2021 Songwriter Icon Award from the National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA) today, June 9. The singer was presented the award because of her brilliant lyricism and advocacy for fellow songwriters.

Swift received the award via satellite and thanked many of the songwriters she has worked with in the past including Liz Rose and Mark Jack Antonoff. Some of my favorite songs came from her collaboration with Rose, I’m looking at you “All Too Well”. I would love to see her work with her again in the future.
