Black Panther‘s Okoye May Be Getting her Own Show

Black Panther‘s Okoye may be getting her own Disney+ show. TVLine is reporting that “Danai Gurira reportedly has closed a deal to reprise her role as Black Panther‘s Okoye, general of the Dora Milaje and the head of Wakandan armed forces, in ‘an origin spinoff series for Disney+.’”

No word on if the show will solely focus on the character or if Okoye will lead the Wakanda-based series that Black Panther director, Ryan Coogler is developing for Disney+. In all honesty, I don’t care what it is as long as she is in it. I love her character, so I’m happy they are finally giving her the attention she deserves.
