Joey King Set To Star In Netflix’s Adaptation Of The Novel Uglies
Joey King has landed her next role. The young actress is set to star and executive produce the new Netflix creation, Uglies, based on the novel by Scott Westerfeld.
According to Deadline, “the story is set in a world in which a compulsory operation at sixteen wipes out physical differences and makes everyone pretty by conforming to an ideal standard of beauty. Sources say King has long been a fan of the series and was aggressive in pursuing the lead role once Netflix acquired the rights to the novel.”
No details on a production start date have been released, but we will update when we learn more.
