Zac Efron Thanks Fans For Their Support After Falling Ill In Papua New Guinea

Very thankful to everyone who has reached out. I did get sick in Papua New Guinea but I bounced back quick and finished an amazing 3 weeks in P.N.G. I’m home for the holidays with my friends and family. Thanks for all the love and concern, see you in 2020!

Zac Efron fell ill while filming his new show, Killing Zac Efron, in Papua New Guinea earlier this month. The young actor was transported to Brisbane shortly after falling ill to undergo treatment before heading home to recover over the holidays.

Zac released a statement to thank fans for all of their support over the past few days. It stated, “Very thankful to everyone who has reached out. I did get sick in Papua New Guinea but I bounced back quick and finished an amazing 3 weeks in P.N.G. I’m home for the holidays with my friends and family. Thanks for all the love and concern, see you in 2020!”

Zac’s new show, which will premiere on Quibi, follows Zac as he tries to survive in the jungle for 21 days.
