Zoey Deutch Brings The Politician To The New Issue Of Hollywood Reporter

Zoey Deutch is featured in the new issue of Hollywood Reporter. The young actress is joined by her costars, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ben Platt, and Lucy Boynton, from her upcoming Netflix drama, The Politician in the new issue.

In the issue, Zoey spoke about her new film stating, “There’s a lot of cultural critique in The Politician and it’s very timely in that it addresses real life issues like voter turnout and gun control. But it’s satirical, pulpy and super, super outrageous — it’s not soap-boxy.”

In this new series, “Payton Hobart (Ben Platt), a wealthy student from Santa Barbara, California, has known since age seven that he’s going to be President of the United States. But first he’ll have to navigate the most treacherous political landscape of all: Saint Sebastian High School. To get elected Student Body President, secure a spot at Harvard, and stay on his singular path to success, Payton will have to outsmart his ruthless classmates without sacrificing his own morality and carefully crafted image.”

It will debut on Netflix on September 27.
