So immensely grateful for the people in this picture, the people who made directing/conceptualizing my first short film feasible. Yara Shahidi wrapped filming on her first short film! The young actress, or should we say director, announced the exciting news yesterday, December 19.

Yara has actively spoke about contributing to the entertainment industry by creating material that will reflect the world as we see it and as it should be. Now, the young star gets to do just that with her directorial debut through R29’s video series, Shatterbox Anthology.

However, details on her film are slim to none, but we do know that whatever she creates will be amazing. Hopefully, Yara chats about the projects soon!
