BB Exclusive: Chase Pollock Talks his New Holiday Movie, Santa Stole Our Dog: A Merry Doggone Christmas!

BeautifulBallad had the amazing opportunity to sit down and chat with up and coming young star, Chase Pollock about his new holiday movie, Santa Stole Our Dog: A Merry Doggone Christmas!.

Tell us about your new movie, Santa Stole Our Dog: A Merry Doggone Christmas! and your character, Tommy?
“Santa Stole Our Dog is a great family Christmas movie about the adventure of the Whitehaven Family when Santa accidentally takes their family dog Rusty back to the North Pole! My character Tommy is a typical teenage boy who is struggling with his parents separation.”

What was the audition process like?
“The audition process was actually really enjoyable because Bryan Michael Stoller, the director, is such a wonderful person and makes you feel so comfortable! The process included taped auditions and FaceTime sessions that were a great opportunity to get to know each other as people, which was really nice.”

What was it like working with Ed Asner?
“It was such an incredible experience and I feel very honored to have had the opportunity to work with him. He is very down to earth and a whole lot of fun.”

In the movie, Tommy and his family go on a big adventure, what do you consider to be your biggest adventure so far?
“My biggest adventure so far it would be working in this industry. There is so much to learn and every new project is a great opportunity to meet new actors and crew and understand more about the whole process. I feel very fortunate to be a part of it.”

You also have a short film coming out in 2018 called, Mount Liptak, tell us a little about that film and your character?
“My character is Lester Liptack and the film Mount Liptak, explores the journey leading up to Lester’s under age enlistment in World War II. A fabulous story and I’m really excited that it is being told.”

The film will be premiering at a number of film festivals next year, do you plan to attend any of them?
“I sure hope so. It was just announced last week that we are a finalist in the short film drama category for the LA independent film festival next year! It is an exciting time!”

If so, what are you most looking forward to?
“I’m looking forward to celebrating the work that we did on the film. The cast and crew were amazing and it was a new experience for me as the role was very dramatic. It will be nice to be surrounded by fellow actors who appreciate each other’s work.”

The Holiday season is here, what are you most looking forward to this holiday season?
“My family and I are heading to Canada for a few days and I will get to snowboard for the first time. So I am excited to give it a try!”

Do you have a favorite holiday song and/or movie?
“My favorite holiday movie is Elf. Which ironically also stars Ed Asner as Santa.”

When you are not acting, what are some of your favorite things to do?
“I love to hang out with my friends and play video games. I also like to stay fit. I enjoy trail running, being in nature and working out at the gym! I really appreciate the opportunity to chat with you today! Happy holidays!”
