Stars Attend Variety’s Hitmakers Luncheon

I am so honored to have excepted the first-EVER @variety Hitmakers “Crossover Artist” Award! From the outside, music may seem like a new thing for me, but I always knew growing up that I wanted to do both music and acting. I wasn't sure how or when I could make that happen, but it was something I always knew I wanted to achieve. Now, here I am today, with my songs playing on the radio, performing at the AMAs for the FIRST time TOMORROW, and receiving this incredible honor… Being recognized as a "crossover artist" is that moment of validation and personal realization for me that I am accomplishing what I set out to achieve a long time ago. I'm so grateful to my fans for supporting me throughout my career and for allowing me to express myself as an artist in both mediums. Stars attended Variety’s 1st Annual Hitmakers Luncheon today, November 18 in Los Angeles. Hailee Steinfeld, Sabrina Carpenter, Kat Graham and Gaten Matarazzo were on hand to celebrate the hitmakers of 2017.

Hailee was one of the stars who was honored at the event. The young singer received the award for “Crossover Artist”, the first star to ever receive the award.
