Laura and Vanessa Marano Wrap Filming on Saving Zoe

I literally can't believe it, but we did it…A project that has been a part of my family for about ten years, a project that has meant so much to my mom, my sister, and I has finally been filmed, and none of that would have been possible without the incredibly hard work of our director (@huntvision rocked this so hard), writers, studio, cast, and crew. Filming Saving Zoe has truly been one of the most rewarding and special experiences of my life, and I am still in shock that we actually shot it. Thank you to everyone who played a role in making it, including all the lovely fans who have already showed so much enthusiasm and made some amazing edits (you guys are so flipping talented); I can't wait to share it with you guys 😊 Finally, thank you @alyson_noel for writing such a beautiful story….it has been such an honor getting to adapt this book for the past ten years, and I know my whole family feels so lucky to have met you ❤️ Now, I'm gonna go pass out on this airplane, and I'm pretty excited about it 😏😴 And you might not be able to tell, but yes, we did make those speeches on top of a bar table…perfect way to end a wrap party 💃🏻

Laura and Vanessa Marano have officially wrapped filming on their new film, Saving Zoe. Filming on the film began in Atlanta last month.

Based on the novel by Alyson Noel, “It’s been one year since the brutal murder of her older sister, Zoë, and fifteen-year-old Echo is still reeling from the aftermath. Her parents are numb, her friends are moving on, and the awkward start to her freshman year proves she’ll never live up to her sister’s memory. Until Zoë’s former boyfriend Marc shows up with Zoë’s diary.

At first Echo’s not interested, doubting there’s anything in there she doesn’t already know. But when curiosity prevails, she starts reading, becoming so immersed in her sister’s secret world, their lives begin to blur, forcing Echo to uncover the truth behind Zoë’s life so that she can start to rebuild her own.”

The film will hopefully be released in 2018. You can see more photos from the film’s wrap party under the jump.
