China Anne McClain Lands Role in CW’s Black Lightning Pilot

China Anne McClain has landed a new role. China is set to star in the CW’s new DC Comics pilot, Black Lightning.

Black Lightning centers on Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams). He made his choice: He hung up the suit and his secret identity years ago, but with a daughter, Jennifer (McCain) hellbent on justice and a star student being recruited by a local gang, he’ll be pulled back into the fight as the wanted vigilante and DC legend Black Lightning.

I really enjoy the Black Lightning comic series, so hopefully the pilot turns out good and it begins appearing on the network. I know we already have an overflow of DC TV shows on the CW, but this one could be really good if done right.
